ECA client HEINEKEN wins FEM EMMA for most innovative use of technology

The 2017 FEM EMEA Summit & EMMAs took place in London last Friday and ECA was one of the event’s Headline Partners.

It was great to meet with clients and other industry contacts over the two days. We also led the “Strategy & Implementation” module as well as a roundtable discussion at the conference, and you can find details about the topics we covered below. A big thank you again to all our guest speakers for their contribution!

2017 EMEA EMMAs - a win for HEINEKEN!

As Headline Partner we also attended the EMMAs gala dinner - the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards presented by the FEM for the global mobility and international HR industry. This year, ECA client and shareholder HEINEKEN was shortlisted for an EMMA in the category “Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility (Bespoke)”, up against nine other entries.

And they won! We were with members of HEINEKEN's global mobility team on the night, but would like to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate their achievement.

Heineken has produced an excellent technology solution. They have focused on stakeholder needs and customers and also embraced modern technology. Amazing, and again Heineken refreshes parts others don't reach!

The global mobility team at HEINEKEN has transformed the way they manage and communicate with their employees who are assigned to markets around the world (over 650 assignees and their families). This includes making use of ECA's Assignment Management System, ECAEnterprise, as the central technology for assignment management within HEINEKEN. Having worked closely with the team for many years, as well as on this transformation journey, we are thrilled that they have won this award!

Speaking of technology...

At the IBIS Academy in Cannes earlier in the year we also led a panel discussion looking at how technology is shaping the way global mobility teams work. Sandra Winstanley, Global Mobility & Benefits Manager at HEINEKEN, joined us on the panel for this session along with Cecilia Calais, Head of Global International Mobility at Ericsson. You can see a summary of what we discussed then here.
