ECA launches 2025 International Relocation Benefits Survey

ECA has launched its 2025 International Relocation Benefits Survey. The survey will investigate how global businesses are adapting their relocation policies in response to unprecedented shipping delays, a growing focus on sustainability and the continued rise of flexible, employee-centric benefits.

Building on the success of the 2021 survey, which saw 420 participants, this year's edition aims to provide Global Mobility (GM) and Human Resources (HR) leaders with critical insights into a rapidly evolving relocation landscape. In 2021, 42% of companies reported using a flexible benefits approach, with a further 18% planning to. However, with today's shipping delays sometimes exceeding six months, the need for flexibility is becoming ever more apparent and the 2025 survey will reveal how policies have adapted to these new realities. Comparisons of ‘settling in’ allowances for individuals and families, provision of immigration assistance, and use of air freight for furniture moves will be particularly valuable.

Oliver Browne, Head of Content and Insights at ECA International, commented: "Since our last survey in 2021, the world of cross-border working has transformed dramatically. Global supply chains are facing unprecedented delays, and shipping container costs remain high. Sustainability has moved from aspiration to expectation, and flexible, employee-centric policies have become the new standard. This year’s survey will be an essential resource for employers to benchmark their strategies, stay competitive, and attract and retain top talent."

Global Mobility Managers, HR Directors, and Compensation and Benefits Specialists are invited to contribute. The survey is open from 5th November until 21st November 2025. All participating organisations will receive a complimentary, comprehensive copy of the final report in January 2026.
