Build-up calculations are a common way of calculating a home-based assignment salary, by breaking down the assignee's notional home salary and building it up again taking account of the difference in living costs, tax liabilities, additional allowances and benefit provision in the host country.
Drawing on ECA's latest tax and cost of living data, the calculator enables the user to enter their own exchange rates, home and host country deductions and allowances, spendable income requirements and more in order to tailor the output to their precise needs.
