We are currently recruiting for a number of Research Analysts to be based in London
 
 
About the job
ECA's research analysts are responsible for collecting and analysing data and information for over 350 locations worldwide.
 
Analysts could be required to work in any of ECA’s production departments, undertaking periodical surveys and ongoing research to produce essential resources for global mobility professionals.  Depending on the department, responsibilities include:
 
  • Analysing worldwide expatriate rental prices to produce detailed rental cost tables and market trends; researching, writing and editing guides to renting in different countries 
  • Researching the issues contributing to expatriate hardship around the world; analysing the findings to derive fair and consistent location ratings
  • Surveying compensation, benefits, salary trends and remuneration policies for international assignees and local nationals
  • Analysing shopping habits and consumption patterns of local people and foreign nationals worldwide; conducting average price analysis on over 120 goods and services to produce cost of living indices and per diems
  • Writing and updating reports on personal income tax, social security and employment regulations around the globe; programming tax calculation software using an in-house language (full training given)
  • Co-ordinating and promoting surveys; designing questionnaires; reviewing and validating data returned by participants
  • Collating and reporting on the costs of expatriate benefits such as cars, international school fees and hotel prices
  • Monitoring international events and specialist resources to track developments affecting our products
 
The roles require close liaison with ECA’s other offices and the client-facing teams, providing support and solutions to meet customer requirements.  Graduates are also offered the opportunity to move between departments to broaden their experience.
 
About you
You will be of graduate calibre, naturally inquisitive and be able to write concise, readable reports with mathematical content.  You should have good attention to detail, proven numeracy skills, be computer literate and able to meet deadlines.  You will have strong communication skills, a flexible approach to tasks and enjoy team-work. 
 
The ideal candidate will be proactive, seek creative solutions to existing and emerging issues and be willing to develop a broad understanding of international assignment compensation and practice.  Experience of living or travelling internationally and foreign language skills would be an advantage.
