Each year ECA produces family
expenditure breakdowns which show how net income is split
into housing and savings, spendable income covered
by the index (i.e. items included in ECA's cost
of living indices)
and other spendable income covering holidays, car
purchase, utilities, etc.
Information is based on government surveys of average home spending patterns for a range of income groups, according to family size.
