ECA's international assignment
guides have been developed by a team of
practising HR managers to ensure that people are better
prepared for international assignments. The guides draw from
their experience as well as that of expatriates, their
partners and families.
The international assignment guides:
- help the employee and their family decide whether and
when an international assignment would be appropriate
- raise issues to be discussed with managers, the HR
department, partner and family
- ensure that the employee considers all the
implications of an international assignment
- make the assignee aware of areas that may present
major obstacles and suggest ways to overcome them at an
early stage
